About

  • I’m Joshua Bird, a medical illustrator and animator. I completed my undergraduate studies in Biological/Pre-Medical Illustration at Iowa State University. Seeking to pursue further creative studies in Medical Animation and Illustration I enrolled in the graduate program offered at Georgia Health Sciences University (MCG). By working directly with doctors, surgeons, and scientific researchers, I have gained incomparable experience within the operating room and hospital system illustrating surgeries and creating original illustrative works for different healthcare purposes. If you have complicated or sensitive subject matter, it is my goal as a professional illustrator to fully research and understand the material so I can provide the best visual solution for your particular audience. It is my passion to create scientifically accurate medical media that is visually engaging and informative. My mission is to provide clarity to complex biomedical concepts, help educate medical professionals, and improve public health.

If I'm not hard at work, I like to spend time exercising or creating my own beer recipes. Some other hobbies of mine include reading, rowing, and playing soccer.
